About two kilometers north of Longpan Park is a unique natural phenomenon called Fongchueisha, which literally means "Wind-blown Sand". During the rainy season in summer a mixture of red soil and sand is washed down the gentle slopes into the Pacific Ocean creating a kind of "sand river". In winter, strong northeastern monsoon winds blow the sand from the shore back onto the land, reversing the direction of the flow. This natural spectacle is best seen during winter.垦丁国家公园地处台湾南隅,三面环海,是唯一涵盖陆地与海域的
